Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble
The Barnes & Noble Review
This is a quick, practical, in-the-trenches guide to running Exchange Server 2007 on a day-to-day basis. Sound like something that would come in handy? Better believe it.

Author William Stanek has earned Microsoft's coveted MVP award for expertise in Windows servers (and his commitment to sharing that knowledge). As editor of Microsoft's Administrator's Pocket Consultant series, he's also become a leading expert in distilling technical knowledge for IT pros. It's remarkable how much useful stuff he's squeezed into these 500 pages.

If you want to get quick results with Exchange's new management shell, Stanek shows you how. You'll find focused, step-by-step walkthroughs for managing contacts, mailboxes, and users -- including a full chapter on mobile messaging. Need to tweak server permissions (or storage groups, or public folders) right now? Turn here.

This book's replete with sample commands, reference tables, and real-world tips. Why wouldn't you want it? Bill Camarda, from the April 2007 Read Only

    The Standard

William Stanek has been my favorite tech author for many years now. Ever since starting with Windows NT Pocket Consultant in 1999, I've been hooked. He packs more into his books than any one. It's always clear and to the point, and it's one of the reasons his books are my favorites. With almost 17 years of Win experience under my belt, I got this book to sharpen up on the newest version of Exchange. The stuff in here is amazing. I've learned a lot of new tricks from this book. Nothing escapes his eye, every section clears up something or gives expert insights in ways i wouldn't have thought of myself. I would highly recommend this book to anyone upgrading from previous versions and any current administrators. For day to day work it can't be beat. Great work, William !
