I am a Commerical Pilot and a FAA certified flight instructor, I found Flight Simulator 2004 to be very helpful for training in IFR procedures, holds, approaches etc. Real simulators run for about $30/hour, and flying the MSFS 2004 can save a lot of time and money. The IFR instrument panel in the Cessna 172 is very realistic.
