Microsoft Flight Simulator X for Pilots is the best book I've read since studying aviation. The author did his homework throughout this text. I am so amazed that this book covers all the aspects of flying in one thick text. You can definitely go from ground zero and become a true scholar in the field of flying. If you take the this book seriously, you could actually substitute alot of flight manuals and get the concept down quickly. Enjoy your departure!

This book walks you through flying an airplane, even if you have never flown a plane before.

This book was one of those "I had no idea how much I didn't know" moments. It covers everything, and then it gives you a lesson plan and teaches you how to do it yourself! My husband, a huge techno geek, was floored by how comprehensive this manual was. I found it incredibly entertaining and would recommend it if you think you might be interested in getting your private pilot license but don't want to spend the money until you're sure. It's a great way for a beginner to learn the basics and for anyone else to practice difficult maneuvers in a controlled environment.
