    An excellent style guide

    I first found out about the Microsoft Manual of Style while I was getting my technical writing certificate. I picked up a copy when I started my current job, because we were just starting to develop our own Style Guide for the tech pubs department. I still keep two editions of this book on my desk, and refer to them often. If you are a technical writer working for a company that doesn't have a Style Guide you need this book. Even if your company does have a Style Guide, you could still use a copy of this book on your desk.
