Mr. Halvorson's approach when writing this book is one of the best. His teaching career and background puts this book at the top of the list. It is like having him standing over your shoulder helping you out along the way in a one on one teaching session. I was most impressed chapters 18 & 19 which address ADO.Net and database connectivity and presentation.

I have bought this book last month and it took me just a few hours to learn and start writing my first VB program because of its hands on and easy to follow contents make this book worth buying. Two thumbs up!
