Editorial Reviews

From Barnes & Noble
The Barnes & Noble Review
Running Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003? Odds are you don't have a professional full-time administrator: You're a small business, after all. So what happens when you need to fix something gone wrong? Or try something new? Before you call that expensive consultant, try Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2003 R2 Administrator's Companion.

This book offers no-nonsense guidance on everything from planning and installation onward. It covers both Standard and Premium editions, including recent “R2” improvements such as WSUS, which automates the process of installing security fixes on your server and PCs.

Turn here for answers on everything from adding users to configuring fax services, encrypting files to managing printers. Turn here, too, for more advanced guidance: configuring email, managing your intranet, improving collaboration using SharePoint. Perhaps most valuable: the section on maintenance and troubleshooting, including step-by-step guides to reducing downtime and planning for disaster. Bill Camarda, from the September 2006 Read Only

Great resource for business setting up Small Business Server

Acurate and helpful to setup Small Business Server. A little light in the web and database areas but overall an excellent book. It might be a little overwhelming for a non-IT person but hopefully this is a resouce used by IT.
