Good Things Come To Those Who Wait!

This story is a perfect example of the phrase 'Good things come to those who wait', because it speaks of a man who waited for the woman he secretly loved all his life. This book really touched me, because it spoke first of the hero's feelings and intentions towards the heroine rather than it being totally focused on what the heroine was feeling and doing. Ms. Garlock created Pack to be a very likeable character by making him a character with flaws, and yet he was caring and very protective over those he loved. I loved that she also created Mara to be stubbornly independent and proud, but she always held an aura of innocence and vulnerability. So to me this book is quiet the opposite of some novels I've read. Rather than the female being meek, she was proud, and the male rather than having him overly macho he was sensitive. Don't get me wrong, the heroine does not wear the pants in the family, but rather they share a bond that stablizes their relationship and it doesn't place any of the two characters above each other. This is a GREAT book, and I am giving it my highest rating. Hope you avid romance readers have a chance to place this book in your collection.

    Outstanding!!!

This book is Dorothy Garlock at her very best! The love story between Pack Gallagher and Mara McCall touched me on such a personal level that I laughed and cried right along with the characters in the story. I read this book for the first time six years ago and reread it at least three times a year.
