Although she's known best as an accomplished actress, I've alway

Although she's known best as an accomplished actress, I've always enjoyed Linda's sultry, rich timbre and story-telling ability as a singer - and in this release she's truly come into her own and met her match in Tedd Firth, whose arrangements and keyboards provide the perfect setting for Linda's voice to wrap around you like a mink coat. The duet with Tom Wopat is delightful, and hearing the seldom-performed verses to these standards certainly enriches the experience - but it's Linda's gorgeous vocals that set this set apart from her previous recordings - that and the wonderful-sounding mix by engineer Gabe Moffat. For fans of the Great American Songbook and just-plain-splendid-singing, this is a must-have CD!
