From the PublisherAmazing how the colors "pop" on a black background! Lerlene Nevaril's instructions are very easy to follow. I especially enjoy her technique of combining blocks with "hidden" blocks, which are a simplified version of the original block--makes for a more complex-looking quilt when it's really easier!

In this beautiful quilting resource, we'll learn how to use black and other dark fabrics as the contrasting color in our pieced quilts.
Using our favorite traditional quilt blocks like Log Cabin, Pinwheel and Bear's Paw, we'll be able to create beautiful quilts that glow like we've never seen before.
And, along with tons of information about color and how to choose the right combination of fabrics to create the perfect look, Lerlene shows her shortcuts for making half-square triangles and stitch and flip (for those who are interested in some foundation-type piecing.

There are 11 sparkling projects to turn night into light and the handy cutting charts speed up the tedious cutting element of preparation so that you can get right on with the sewing aspect.
