A heroine I can relate to, in a problematic situation.

The heroine here just wants to be taken seriously- she wants people to look at her and take her for the incredibly competent woman she is. I liked seeing her stand up to her intimidating boss. Said boss really is a jerk, though- in addition to being a vampire. I'm interested to see how their relationship will evolve in future volumes. It's problematic because of the power differential, though- she's his secretary, and he threatens to have her mother fired for embezzlement if the secretary starts blabbing about him being a vampire. Characters are interesting to look at and easy to tell apart. Backgrounds occasionally a little dull, but details are there when they're required to set the scene- the church turned into a restaurant, the Christmas party. Partial nudity, a sex scene. No violence, despite the blood-drinking.

    Interesting

I was happy, a little excited when I saw this at the library. First heard about this from where else, GR. Keep the suggestions coming. Anyway, I'm liking this type of trope, thanks to mostly well, TV Tropes and all that.

You got a boss that's a vampire, and a human that's his secretary. I did like the bickering between the two and that she stood her ground. Even if he seemed unlikable. Then of course there's the brother. Getting a vibe from him. And from what I learned from Stepping on Roses, well, the less I say the better else we'll be getting into spoiler territory.

So, the art while good, seemed okay to very well done, especially the hair styles and eyes. Very expressive. I think I found a new favorite series to read. Unless I can catch up on the other mangas I'm reading. What's one more to add to the mix?

I read this series online before several times thinking it would never be released in America so I was shocked and.thrilled to see it on sale. Wonderful storyline, Beauitful art, interesting characters. Definitely worth the read if you want a more mature romance.
