Overview

A Southern, small town, secret baby romance.

“Make love to me.” A desperate Josie Alexander spoke those words to a stranger on a rainy backwoods road. She didn’t allow herself to consider the risks—only the consequences. A lifetime of caution, of always doing the right thing meant nothing in the face of her despair. She was sure fate had put him in her path. He was going to be the miracle she needed.

Four years later, wealthy pilot Chase Fowler still knew her face; he’d carried it in his heart ever since their night together. But it was the face of Josie’s three-year-old boy that surprised him. Chase had finally come to claim what was rightfully his in this tiny Louisiana town—and now that included his own son. But the boy wasn’t the only secret between them….

“A wonderful mix of complex problems and no easy answers in a romance you will love!” –Affaire de Coeur (4 ½ STARS)

This book was so filled with action and romance and tension that I could not put it down. Bria was wonderful as a tormented heroine who is pushed into becoming her childhood hero. And I simply fell in love with Terran, the hero. Oh, this book was wonderful! I was so disappointed that it was over. Please write a sequel, Ms. O'Donnell!

There is a HEA, but a vety bumpy road. No Cliffhanger's and the author even includes an epilogue five years in the future. I did wish epilogue was longer. I was frustrated with our h/H at times because our h was fsr to forgiving of the H, it felt out of character for such a strong women! A few kisses and she forgot her anger and hurt. Then the H didn't believe her about the villain, when she told him over and over different stories. But, over all it was a book I would recommend. There is alot of suspense, great fight scenes that you could picture, intrigue, sadness and you need joy for HEA! (Ljb)

If you like action-packed romances that grab you on the first page and won't let go, 'Midnight Shadow' is the book for you. Bria Delaney is the most likable heroine I've seen in a long time. Terran Knowles is tortured and passionate, a hero in every sense of the word. This story rolicks along merrily to a white-knuckled conclusion. Great summer reading!

This was a VERY good book from start to finish. I do wish the prolog was longer. Your all ramped up from the ending and then you make this quick prolog almost as if you are telling us “I wrote and excellent book and then just threw a prolog togeater!
