Mike's just finished college and has managed to stick to his moral values. As a result, he believes that is the reason he has been given a great job at Sandia Labs in New Mexico. When he gets there, he meets Danielle and starts falling head-over-heels for her. His past, however, still haunts him, and he worries that a mistake he made in high school that led to his ex-girlfriend getting an abortion will affect his new relationship. He also worries that his feelings for his former roommate's wife might affect his ability to form a lasting relationship. Will Mike find the power within to forgive himself for his past mistakes? Will Danielle be understanding when she finds out the truth? A moving, heartwarming story about forgiveness, friendship, and love. Although the plot has a fairly slow pace, the author does a great job of keeping the reader's attention. Her portrayal of the characters and their inner struggles is also well done. Readers who need an uplifting story or who like Christian fiction, clean romances, and books about people finding their inner strengths will all enjoy reading this book.
Wolfe¿s 'Circle of Friends' series captivated me with 'Lori,' the very first in the series of five novels. 'Sarah,' 'James' and now 'Mike' have grown and developed before my very eyes. It¿s so refreshing to read uplifting stories of young people meeting challenges head-on, and overcoming roadblocks to fulfill intentions for their lives. This series is a must read for both the young, and the young at heart, like me. I look forward to the release of 'Heather' as the fifth in the series, but I do hope the author will consider expanding the series beyond the five novels. I would love to see 'Circle of Friends' made into a television series.
Mike is a wonderful story that can relate to many who at some point in their life, challenged their faith. The book was amazing. The plot keep me on the edge of my seat until the very last chapter. I really didnt know what was going to happen. Job well done, this is another great title by Diane Wolfe.
