Overview

From the quiet of Huron Oaks Golf Club to the roars of Augusta National, Mike Weir has remained a consistently competitive player who has become the most successful Canadian golfer in history. It took him years just to earn his PGA Tour card, but he persevered. He worked his way up the ranks, first making cuts, then placing in the top 10, then, finally, winning occasionally.

He made history in 2003 when he became the first Canadian to win one of golf's four majors, the Masters. The win also marked the first time a left-handed player had ever earned the green jacket, emblematic of success at Augusta National. Mike Weir truly is a Canadian golf master.
