Meet the Author

I've been reading science fiction since 2nd grade (does anyone else remember Have Space Suit—Will Travel?) From the photo I'd expect you to conclude that was a while ago. The Band is my first novel, based on my love of science fiction. I recently finished Mikey Goes to School.

I enjoy good food and wine. When the urge strikes I swim a bit in a pool and I can be found occasionally on a dance floor with my wife.

You can correspond with me at ky5author@gmail.com. I am willing to provide a coupon for a free copy of either book in exchange for a review.

    TMNT: Mikey's Tale (part 13)

Red's eyes glittered gold as Mikey appreared from the shadows. She had always knew Mikey would be first, and that made her plan easier.
Red was about to climb down to greet him when she saw Leo too. Flecks of blue mixed with the golden joy in her eyes. "This changes the plan a little...but i can hadle it." She muttered. She decided to wait until one of them left or they started fighting...and she REALLY wanted the first choice to happen.
"Red? Red, it's me! Can i talk to you?" Mikey called. He sighed and looked around for her, the paper still in his hand. The turtle was about to climb a tree to clear his head when he heard...Leo. Mikey turned. "What is it Leo?" His brother walked over and crossed his arms. "Looking for Red. And im pretty sure that paper was meant for me, so back off."
Mikey glared and clutched the paper more tightly. "You know what? I'm SO tired of you and the others pushing me around! Fine! Be mad at me for scr<_>ewing up in a battle or eating the last slice of pizza! But i won't let you push me away from Red. I fell in love her first AND know her better! I should at least get a chance with SOMEONE!"
Leo's eyes widened. He had never seen Mikey this angry before in his life...until now. Leo pulled himself together and narrowed his blue eyes. "Fine. You can have Red for tonight, but after that-" he turned to head back home "-It'll be my turn to impress her." Mikey stuck out his tou<_>nge as he leaped back into the shadows.
Red took a deep breath as Leo left. Thank good<_>ness they hadn't fo<_>ught. She swished her tail and hopped down tapping mikey on the shoulder. "I heard you call mt name." She said calmly. Mikey turned with a smile on his face and joy glittering in his blue eyes as if nothing happened between him and Leo. "Red...i want to tell you something."
to be continued...
