The characters are well developed, and the story itself is relevent and believable. Sonja tends to need a swift kick in the rear to remind her that she is fighting to be with Steve, and not fighting him. The racial factor is as relevent to thier relationship as it is to the rest of the characters. Steve's father is a jerk, and Brian is a racist pig, and I would hope that people like that were not out in uniform and selectively protecting people. I really liked Steve and his whole positive attitude toward all people, and his refusal to be as the world dictates. It takes heart to stand up to a world of likemindedness and say "no I'm diferent, and I will believe as I choose, and not as I'm told." Great book, and I will continue to be a fan of G.A. Hauser. I read all romance books, including straight, gay, and menage books. I find that all romance is interesting, and all the same in a way because the people in the books are all out to find the same thing LOVE. Don't judje people before you give them a chance to show you who they are on the inside. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
