Jim Davis....I'd have to give Millie's Book 8 lasagnas. I think dogs in particular would enjoy reading Millie's story--then again, women, children, men and cats might enjoy it, too. -- New York Times Book of the Century, Sept. 16, 1990

Though there are some who are disgruntled at the Bush family, this precious story is very captivating and charming, even for the critical. The truly "down-to-earth" perspective is a wonderful change from the normal "biography". This is a tale I want to keep in the house to read to my grandchildren.
I never really found myself drawn to Washington DC history, but this book makes the path smoother. Absorb an insider's unpretentious look at the White House and our government in general. As an enthuiast of the Springer breed, I found Millie's story to be most touching. These really are remarkable dogs. I also commend the excellent photography as Springers' energy make them extremely difficult to photograph. Well Done, and may I add--A Class Act!
