Overview

A wrongfully accused man whose dedication of spirit has been a source of inspiration and encouragement to prisoners and others whose lives have been shattered.

Dr. Brown, a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist for more than twenty-five years, candidly shares his gripping and often turbulent life story. In 1995, he was violently arrested and incarcerated on two felony counts of assault with a deadly weapon. This began a maelstrom of pain and horror. Being in jail is a frightening and bewildering experience, yet, supported by his faith, he established beneficial relationships with inmates that have lasted to this day. From that point on, it is a story delineating the attempts of his wife and her lover to destroy him through the court system.

Through professional psychotherapy and a brutally honest self-examination, Dr. Brown is now able to assess his own complicity in his troubles and to heal from the wounds of his emotionally impoverished childhood. Powerful insights are revealed that only the dark night of the soul could have delivered. This book will prove helpful to others in their own healing and recovery processes from past traumas and emotional wounds.

    Blessings Revealed After Tragedy

This true story covers the span of the author's life amidst religious undertones. In the blink-of-an-eye, one event affected him deeply: emotionally and financially. It led him on an unexpected path that unfolds as inspirational. I highly recommend for someone on or wanting to begin a 12 Step Program.

I was unable to set Jared's book down. This is a MUST read!

The unjustice that unrolled in such detail that I felt Jared's shock and disbelief! This true story was heart wrenching. The ability of the author to connect in a way to help the other inmates in their time of dire need and choose not to be bitter was a great lesson for all of us.

Jared's spirit -- worth beyond millions

I was riveted in my reading of this book. The author has suffered such unimaginable insults and trials, and he has such an uplifting message to share overall. This is a profound book--and I felt like I knew the author from early on. He is such an open, honest, faithful person--and his writing style is compelling. His perseverance is a testimony to faith and how prayer and guidance can help one to endure great pain and challenges---and then even to offer help to others and share support and love in most unexpected conditions and locations! I felt like I went through it all with him--and I am better for it.

A must read for every American citizen!!!

I met the author, heard the entire story first hand and consider this book an absolute must read text book for every American citizen, peace officer, law enforcement officials and law students. A very simple mistake in a 911 call for assistance landed the wrong guy in jail. A tragic chain of events to say the least.

Inspiring! A book you must read!

This book highlights the fact that no matter how tough things are going, if you stick to proven principles and ask for help, you can find your way out of a long, dark tunnel into the light! The author has shown by his story that this method served him well through a gut-wrenching string of events. Despite all his turmoil, he never failed to reach out to help others.<BR/><BR/>This book is a real page-turner and you will be amazed how he turned tragedy into triumph and became the man he was supposed to be.

    Perseverence through Faith

What happened to innocent until proven guilty? Dr. Brown went on a roller coaster ride through hell with God holding his hand to bring him out again. Pretty amazing that even through all the many trials and tribulations that Dr. Brown endured he always gave and ministered to others through therapy and Faith. An amazing story of triumph.

AND YOU THINK YOU HAVE HAD PROBLEMS?

This is a well written and interesting book, in my opinion because I kept reading it until I finished. Haven't we all felt wrongly accused or unfairly punished for something we did not do? I really can't say enough about the author's honesty and faith. It makes one realize how lucky they are compared to others in life - and I seriously doubt if I could have persevered as Jared did.

A MUST read for anyone who thinks THEY have problems!
