Because I got hooked by the first book, I was compelled to buy the other two in the series. The first book is the best and in this book (and the second) the Osyn character is somewhat annoyingly weak at parts. Overall it was interesting, at points gross but a more than decent urban read. But I'm really irritated by the uneventful ending. I at least suggest reading the first. Good stuff. *Spoilers Below* Certain things didn't make sense, like when Oshyn's husband is shot, not in the head, and is somehow definitely dead within almost seconds. I, the reader, don't think so but a person who is not a doctor said so and thusly it had to be true. Also, when Oshyn is heading back to the hotel and runs into the officer she handled it all wrong- never asking for help from an obvious source yet when Chloe runs into trouble she's able to get help from people? I could tell the writing did not want Oshyn helped or saved by anyone. Not even at the end, all alone and not even from her family. It was just a deranged, confused desperation then Oshyn, who is easily weakened and easily overcome, has a slighlty less terrible ending than Chloe. But Chloe lives on to ruin lives? Ok,cool- a twist that doesn't follow the happy ending formula. BUT, because of law enforcements apparent incompetency at capturing a violent, narcissistic sociopath and Chloe some how never falling to the infinite variables in life that would cause her to slip up and be killed or die and against mny odds succeeding at ruining a nicer, albeit pathetically weak, character just irritated me at the end. But that's really just a personal preference to follow an evil fictional character to their demsise. Oshyn's fading mental health was also annoying and not totally lead into. And it only put her and everyone in further peril and at points seemed aimless and an almost obvious plot device. Then again, real crazy doesn't make sense. But I will give this, I got that the writer wanted to create a selfish, greedy, mentally ill, ruthless, conniving character. To be a complete opposite from Oshyn. Although maybe taken too far with the weakness in one character and the limitless evil of the other, I'm glad she was flexible enough to make characters at both extremes and weave them fairly interestingly in this series. Anywho, to wrap up this unneccessarily long review of my opinions, there were subtle logic points that didn't make sense that I won't harp on since I can't remember them right now. I understand most books and movies require some level of suspension of disbelief. And even though I was in the writers world and enjoyed the ride, I felt as though I finished reading abruptly, with a page or three missing (although, again, kudos for unconventional ending) and like I said, I'm left a little irritated.

Ok i shouldve stop at book2 but naw i had to keep going. The way they had Oshyn acting i lost it. Brooklyn and Bella was too much for me. So for me i didnt really care for the ending at all.

I should have stopped at book #2! This book was all over the place. I HATED THAT CHLOE LIVED AND OSHYN HAD TO DIE. Oshyn's mental illness was so out of the blue. Was Bella having sex? How in the hell did Chloe survive the fire? This third book was so unnesassary and unrealistic! I hate when authors insult my intelligence. If i could return an e-book I would.

The first part of the book was really good. had me wide open. read it in one day. I didnt like the outcome or oshyn's part in the book. i think this could have been a thousand times better. it was a waste of money. if i could return i wld. Ms. Montgomery you ought to be ashamed of yourself. I really hope you read this.
