Overview

Once again she's back! Keisha Ervin that is, with her spellbinding tale of love, family, money and scandal.

In this sizzling new story, Keisha introduces you to Mina Matthews. Mina is not your typical around-the-way girl; her dreams of making a life for herself outside the 'hood are now a reality. At the age of twenty-five, she has her own full service salon, Mina's Joint, drives a CLK55 and is engaged to the Mayor of St. Louis' son, Andrew.

To most, she has it all. But everything that glitters ain't gold. Mina's life is turned upside down when the man of her dreams and childhood sweetheart, Victor Gonzalez, re-enters her life. Suddenly everything that she thought was true is now a lie. Will her loyalty to Andrew overshadow her love for Victor or will the pasts of these two men bring her life to an end?

Loved It! This book was "Delicious" lol. If you read it you know what I mean lol. I could'nt stop reading it. I read it in my young teens, (almost 22) so at that time I felt like this was the best book ever written. But now that I'm older of course I've had a change of heart but even so this book is still great. I would definitely read it again. As a young girl I fell in love with Victor, he was everything! Mina's downfalls and triumphs are tear jerkers, her friends were a nice addition, made the book funny. This book will have you in your feelings especially if you're a teenage girl. I loved it. Even years later if Keisha were to write a sequel I'd buy it.

The story is written on a middle school level. I'm on page 33 and I have a pretty good idea of how the rest of the book will play out. The characters have no depth. The storyline is weak. There are errors in the book...I expected way more from Keisha Ervin. Chyna Black is/was one of my favorite books.

Surprisingly im really disappointed in this book! It started off really good but then it was just all over the place. Some of it didnt even make any sense. I thought this was gonna be a great book because all the other ones i read by her were but NOT THIS ONE! If i hadnt paid for it i wouldnt even have finished it! Oh and wit the girl Mo, this book totally percieved her in a different light than the book that was about her, Torn. This was just a hot ass mess and it irritated me
