Fictional, scary story you makes you believe big brother is watching..

Holly Maddox is a single, unemployed mother that believes all the answers to her prayers have been granted with the new job at an up and coming Medical Facility. She starts out in the billing department but quickly moves to a promotion working as the assistant to Jonathan Paige, a man from her past. Jon was a friend of Holly's late brother and finds himself wanting to take on the role of her protector but this objective does not deter him from always wanting to be her lover he just needs to decide which should be done first.

But Jon and Holly have a number of side roads they have to take in order to be together with the largest one resolving their suspicions about the facility they work for. What is really going on behind the closed doors of the clinic and why are people in mass all craving the same soda? Jon enlists his sister to utilize her medical expertise to help them answer at least a few of the questions while Holly uses her friendly charms on one of the physician's running the program. Putting notes together, skirting around security to look at sensitive data and running around incognito seems more CIA than Holly would like.

But the closer they get answers more questions arise and the head of the facility starts to believe it is not animal rights groups infiltrating her lab but someone from inside. Jon wants Holly to be safe and plans to keep her that way and hopefully with a lifelong commitment attached and if he has to brain wash her to do it will he push the envelope that far or has he done that already?

Michele Hart writes a book drawing a reader in so far that they believe that what they are reading is an actual fact. That is the basis of a good writer and Ms. Hart has consistently displayed this in her books. I find the story with Jon and Holly both romantic and touching because they both have known loss and still try to stay positive about life which is not always easy.

Nights & Weekends Reviews calls Mind-Blown a Sci-Fi Thriller Packed with Surprises!

Nights & Weekends Reviews Reviewed by Marilyn This romantic thriller caught me by surprise. At first, it appears to be a simple workplace romance, but it has a sinister plot. Suspense intensifies when the lead hunk discovers that his employer is conducting mind experiments on select staff. But the twisted doctor in charge has not factored in the sleuthing powers of sexy green-eyed Jonathan Paige, the new HR department head, or his witty brown-eyed assistant, Holly Maddox. Holly is a fun-loving person, but she's avoiding men right now to concentrate on job security and being a good mom. Jon is tempting, though-and it doesn't hurt that he smells like a cedar stick! Jon is extremely resourceful-always ready with a disguise for secret visits to the medical lab-so he decides to use a little science for his own gain, to get inside Holly's head. Though the two are constant joking around, they still manage to pull off some awesome stunts as they try to put an end to the doctor's sinister experiments. But while the mystery solving is intense and quick-paced, their sensual moments are electric. Predictably, once the guy thinks he has the girl, he messes up. The relationship, which you now care about, is in danger. In order for them to survive, they'll need to help each other heal past emotional wounds. Author Michele Hart knows how to develop her characters, from Holly and Jon to the obsessed Dr. Ramirez. You'll see how the doctor's methods alienate the other characters-and you'll feel their dread when they interact with her. It's mind-blowing to imagine what this doctor is trying to accomplish, but it's even more mind-blowing that she thinks she's going to get away with it. The suspense of it all is thrilling. Mind-Blown is definitely a page-turner-or, I suppose, a "page-scroller," since it's an e-book. I stayed up late reading it, just to find out what would happen next. For those of you who have never read a romantic thriller, give this one a try-it might just blow your mind.

    Smart Romance - Fantastic Read!

If you are searching for a romance novel mixed with action, adventure, and mind control, look no further than Michele Hart's Mind-Blown. Hart breathes new life into the "woman falls for her boss" story line, which is incredibly refreshing and quite exciting. Hart moves beyond the typical romance and gives us plot twists that are sure to make your eyes pop out and your jaw drop in surprise. You truly can't predict what will happen next, and that kept me glued to the book, flipping the pages as if they would evaporate any second.

I would describe Michele Hart's writing style as "Smart Romance." Hart doesn't shy away from introducing you to some of the latest technology in micro-chipping and mind control. The high tech gadgets add dimension to the novel, highlighting - never overshadowing - the dynamic relationship between Holly and Jon.

Hart's ability to craft three-dimensional characters does not go unnoticed. You will instantly fall in love with Holly Maddox's sassy, outgoing attitude, her devotion to her family, as well as her ability to warm the hearts of the toughest scientists at TDG. Jon, Holly's devilishly handsome boss, is everything a man should be: honest, confident, funny, considerate, and persistent. Holly and Jon are the type of people you work with, go out with, and can see yourself being friends with, which makes it that much easier to immerse yourself into this title.

There are some interesting ethical dilemmas in this novel. Jon has the opportunity to tamper with Holly's subliminal message folder. Will he do it? Will TDG micro-chip their employees? Are scientists working for the betterment of science? Are employees who they say they are? Will Holly fall for Jon despite TDG's no fraternization policy? Oh, my lips are sealed! You will have to read Mind-Blown to get the answers to these questions. Hart has a winner on her hands, and you should definitely go grab a copy for an exciting and indulgent read!
