James D'OlimpioPatients facing a diagnosis of cancer and, more importantly, its course and treatments, are overwhelmed with choices and information. There is tremendous anxiety to "make the right choice", even when this is not always possible, rational or realistic. Many books now exist which contribute in very positive but also unfortunately, veru negative ways which can add to the confusion or, at the very least, fail to allay anxieties. Ms. Dahm's book is different. It is written by a very experienced and well trained nurse who has first hand experience and insight into this ever-challenging realm. The book is unique in that it spans the entire potential of treatment and course of illness. It is written with a refined technical expertise but also has a wonderful spiritual and humanistic perspective.
