David Nelson is a filmmaker, public health nutritionist, and educator. He produced a hit children's radio show for several years, entitled "Shooting Stars" on Hopi public radio, and has also produced dozens of short videos on health topics including diabetes, diet, foot care, substance abuse, suicide, and mindful parenting. He is a member of the Order of Interbeing and a mindfulness practitioner.

He is the author of Happiness, Being Peace, Peace Is Every Step, and many other best-selling books. He lives in southwest France where he gardens, writes, and teaches the art of mindful living.
