Mindreach: The Novel and the Legend

Mindreach: The Novel and the Legend

by James H. Brennan

Editorial Reviews

School Library Journal - School Library Journal
YA In this slim volume, Brennan deals with the frontiers of psychical research, particularly with psychokinesis (PK). Brennan surveys the history of poltergeist phenomena (with a discussion of the attendant characteristics), makes a clear statement about the argument connecting such events with PK and finally gives a full description of the experiments of Kenneth Batcheldor, with suggestions for starting a Batcheldor-style group. Brennan's conversational style is relaxed despite the controversial subject matter. The book is full of fascinating facts and theories. This is not a book for everyone, obviously; only those with hardy open minds need apply! Catherine Chauvette, Fairfax County Public Library, Springfield, Va.
