Overview

New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Cynthia Eden continues her dark and sexy "Mine" romantic suspense series with...MINE TO HOLD.

She was one man's obsession...

Nine years ago, Claire Kramer's lover brutally killed her family, and he tried to kill her. She escaped, but she's been haunted ever since that attack. Too afraid to trust another man and too worried that her past will catch up with her, Claire never gets too close to anyone. But then she meets Noah York.

He must have her.

Noah York is a man with secrets. The world sees him as a billionaire hotel tycoon, but Noah has a dark and dangerous side. For years, he worked covert military operations before he built his fortune. When it comes to death, Noah is a master. He knows that he should steer clear of Claire, but the white-hot attraction Noah feels for the delicate beauty is instant--and consuming.

He will never let her go.

Someone else is just as consumed by Claire--someone who will kill to possess her. And if Noah can't stop the hunter in the darkness, he may just lose the one woman that he can't live without.

YAY! For the first time, I guessed who was the killer on one of Cynthia Eden's romantic suspense novels! :) However, I was still surprised some times during the reading of another wonderful book.

I enjoyed greatly reading Noah and Claire's story. They are both so secretive and dark, the way I like my characters. I can't imagine the suffering Claire has gone through because of Ethan...

Again, this was a very compulsive read, difficult to stop. It was thrilling seeing the deaths (yes, I like when there's deaths!) and everything points to Noah and/or Claire; also seeing how they feel so intenselly for each other.

Now, I'm anxious for Drake's story.

I loved this book! It had everything you'd want in romantic suspense. Strong characters, great story line, hot love scenes, and nail-biting suspense. Loved it.

Mine to hold is the third book in Cynthia Eden's Mine series. W

Mine to hold is the third book in Cynthia Eden's Mine series. While it is a stand alone novel, it does occasionally reference events that happened in previous books. This is the first book I have read in the Mine series and I was able to successfully follow the book. Best of all, kiddies, it does not have a cliffhanger ending.

Claire has a troubled past that she is constantly trying to escape. However, her past will not let her go. At the end of her rope, penniless and homeless, she turns to Noah York for help.

Noah is a yummy alpha to the extreme. He is delightfully controlling and uses his power and wealth to protect Claire.

The novel kept me guessing to the end. I will definitely be checking out other books by Cynthia Eden. Overall I five this book 3.5 stars.

Third opus in the Mine series from the author, this novel keeps

Third opus in the Mine series from the author, this novel keeps all its promises. I also have the impression I’ll become addicted to this author. LOL

This story portrays Noah York and Claire Kramer. The action takes place several months after Mine to keep. It’s absolutely not needed to have read the first previous books before this one, but you’ll inevitably want to do so if it’s not already done.

Claire was there in the second book, and Noah was Trace’s friend and former partner (hero of Mine to take & Mine to keep), so he’s present since the beginning of the series. There’s a last character, Drake, who’ll have his story, fact confirmed recently by Cynthia Eden. However I don’t know when the book will be published.

I really liked Mine to hold. From the start I was snatched by Claire’s story, this woman living in terror because of one unique family whose youngest son tried to kill her. The heroine is a former battered wife who spends most of her life running away. I really liked that the author doesn’t dwell at length on the violence she was victim of. Of course, she talks about it as it’s an important element of the story but it’s never tearful or gory. All the same there’s emotion connected to our two heroes’ feelings toward their own families. But what the reader remembers of what the heroine suffered is that she’s a fighter, a “survivor” as Noah says all the time. Claire also cares a lot about others and doesn’t rush headlong in problems. Cynthia Eden has the gift of creating really likeable and sensible female characters able to listen to the professionals’ advises concerning their security. It’s entirely the kind of heroine I love.

As for the heroes, well, let’s say that they are alpha males in all their splendor. LOL. And Noah is no exception.

Cynthia Eden is an author I put at the same level as Lisa Marie Rice and I’m delighted to know the French readers will be able to discover her in November because she’s published for the first time by Harlequin France with her title Alpha One.

The Mine series is a romantic suspense and once more, the suspense is really, really well done. The author takes the reader on red herrings and everything is logically resolved at the end of the novel, without any hint to a possible sequel with Claire and Noah.

The sex scenes are less present than in the first opus of the series but there’s nothing missing, on one hand because there are some, and on the other because the author focused on the suspense, the heroine’s psychological evolution, and the heroes’ acceptance of their feelings.

To conclude, Mine to hold is a must read. The fans will love Claire and Noah. The new readers will be dying to discover Cynthia Eden’s universe.
And everybody will eagerly wait for the story of Drake, secondary character very present in the series, and who has a really difficult past.

Love or Obsessed? BOTH! YES!! This is the Cynthia Eden I remembe

Love or Obsessed? BOTH! YES!! This is the Cynthia Eden I remember! This book is fantastic!

Both Claire and Noah have a dark and complicated past. When Claire was 16 her ex-boyfriend, who is the senators son, murders her parents and attempted the same with her. He was sent to prison however shes never been completely free of him. Claire has a very difficult time trusting anyone, especially men. Noah has bloody past as well. He has killed while in the military and out.

I could not put this book down. I was captivated and hooked from the beginning. I started it yesterday morning, went to work all day and came home and read until midnight. Then I woke up at 5am and finished the book by 7am. This book is an easy read and fast paced. The characters and chemistry were hot and believable. The suspense got my heart pumping a little and it made me question everyone involved. Lets not forget about all the great sex involved! Sweet mercy! I need a cold shower. Overall... its a fabulous read and Cynthia Eden knows her stuff!

Noah to Claire: "I look at you, and my whole body burns. I want you naked. I want you screaming. I want to see pleasure make your eyes flash even brighter. So I wondered if that was just me. Is the arousal all on my side? The attraction? Or do you feel it, too?"

    Great read

    ## Once again, I read one of Ms. Eden's books in one sitting. Her books are hard to put down which is really a compliment when it comes to writing. She has this way with suspense and she keeps you intrigued throughout the story. This is book three of the series and tells the story of a new couple this time. (Book 1&2 were about the same couple). Being honest, I liked the first 2 books more. With those I could feel the connection between the hero and heroine. In this one, it was missing, ergo 4 stars. Yes, the hero Noah was a hot alpha billionaire and I loved how fiercely he wanted Claire, but why wasn't clear. She just seemed weak. I wish we could've seen something other than fear and terror from the heroine. Nonetheless a terrific read. I especially love how Ms. Eden didn't portray the hero as an ass like most billionaire stories. We can actually understand why the heroine falls for him. Will read again.

    An Excellent Romantic Suspense

An Excellent Romantic Suspense Contemporary, Suspense

Claire Kramer has been trying to get past the fact that nine years ago her lover killed her family and also tried to kill her. She survived but ever since she has been haunted by that incident. She is too afraid to trust another man and worried that her past will eventually catch up to her. Since she cannot be sure her past won’t come back to get her she keeps everyone at a distance as that is safer for her. Then she meets a man that she can’t seem to keep away from or to keep at a distance, Noah York.

Noah York is now a billionaire tycoon and that is how everyone in the world sees him. Before becoming a tycoon he worked covert military operations for years. This has made sure that death and Noah are no strangers. He knows it would be better if he stayed away from Claire but the white-hot attraction between them just won’t let him do that. Noah is consumed by the attraction between them.

Though there is someone else that is consumed by Claire too. Someone who will do anything, even kill to possess her. Noah is determined to protect Claire no matter what since the alternative would be having to live without the one woman he cannot live without.

This is a story that grabs the reader from the very beginning and doesn’t let go until the very last page. The twists and turns will have the reader trying to guess just who is behind everything that is happening and just what will happen next. This is one story that does not disappoint in the slightest. The action and suspense is non stop and will have readers on the very edge of their seats. This is a romantic suspense that does not let the reader down at all. This is the third book in a series though it can be read as a stand alone it is much better if the reader has read the first two book first.

I enjoyed the story with all the danger, action and suspense that kept you wondering and on the edge of your seat. I only wish I had been able to warm up to Claire and Noah more, but they were both a little closed off and I couldn’t relate to them. That being said, there is just something about alpha males and the women who love them when danger is everywhere. Not to mention the steamy love scenes always make me smile. I look forward to the next one in this series.

In Mine to Hold, the third book in the Mine series, by Cynthia E

In Mine to Hold, the third book in the Mine series, by Cynthia Eden, Claire has been looking over her shoulder, scared, and running from her past for years.  As a 16 year old, her obssessed, ex boyfriend killed her parents then tried to kill her.  Even though he's been in jail since, his father has never forgiven Claire, claiming the killings were actually her fault and she'd ruined his son's life.  No the father, a former senator, will stop at nothing to ruin Claire's life.

When Claire, who trusts no one, needs help and a job, she turns to Noah.  We met Noah in Mine to Keep...he is a powerful man with a lot of dark secrets he keeps well hidden.  As much as a times he makes Claire nervous, she is drawn to him and feeling things she hasn't felt in years.  Noah is not a man who keeps a woman.  But with Claire, even before they get very far, he knows she is different.  She is more.  He wants her like he's wanted nothing before.

Noah gives Claire a job, but he also gives Claire himself and the protection he can offer.  He will do anything to keep Claire safe.  Noah carries with him issues from his past...a trauma in his childhood has scarred him emotionally.  Claire is obviously still traumatized and running scared.  When she can no longer run, will Noah be enough to protect her?  Will Noah be enough for her?  Or will the darkness that they both feel inside themselves and each scare Claire more than the idea of being with Noah?

As the danger gets closer and the mystery is no closer to being solved, Claire is tempted to run again...but it might be too late.

I loved this third book in the series by Cynthia Eden!!  Mine To Hold gives us very fast paced, thrilling romantic suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat.  Claire and Noah are both people that you can really feel for, hope for, and like.  They are both strong, Claire is much stronger than she even thinks sometimes.  As much as Noah is a protector, so in a way is Claire.  She feels badly that anyone might get hurt, or even killed, because of the people after her, that she wants to just leave Noah.  I admit to finding this a very annoying characteristic though, she is not the owner of the problems, it is the person creating the problems that owns them, and I really wanted her to see this.  But Claire has lived with this for so long now, it's second nature to her.

Cynthia gives us a perfect blend of suspense, romance, and lots of sizzle in Mine to Hold.  She gives us lots of plot twists, you think you know, then you don't, then wow, surprise!  I really like how Cynthia brings in the characters from the other Mine books, especially Trace, Skye, and Drake.  I would love to know a lot more about Drake, he is a very powerful presence in Mine to Hold.

I'd highly recommend this book and the series to any romantic suspense reader, Cynthia brings all the elements of a romantic suspense together in a story that you will love!
