Overview

Minivan of Rage is an album of poetic snapshots spanning the 32nd year in the life of author Jeff Trainor, a man hypnotized by the building color and noise of existence in the sci-fi age. Its 303 haiku poems hearken back to the comfortingly non-breathable plasticity of the 1980s, pause to point accusingly at the incomprehensible shitstorm of the first decade of the post-9/11 era, and look eagerly ahead to an age of zombie movie panic and barrenness. Alternately embracing the purity of creative endeavor and lashing out against its self-righteous drone, Trainor fuels his van with an overdose of pop culture and a splash of dime store sociology, then floors it through serenity, unto inanity, and back again.
