I received this book as a gift for my birthday. I love history and quirky topics so this book fit in perfect. Perhaps the copy I got was an updated version of the book because my copy seemed pretty clean. Either way I enjoyed the book a lot. This book is not a definitive tome on the gangsters, but is perfect if just want to know the most interesting facts.

I was excited to buy this book because I love history and I thought it would be fun to know some historical facts about the places in Minnesota that I often drive through. My interest was completely overwhelmed, however, by the enormous number of typos present throughout the book. These mistakes could have been easily corrected with one read-through. The book appears to have been published in a "rough draft" form.
