Overview

Minutemen: The Battle to Secure America's Borders is a first-hand account from the frontlines, and what it says will shock you. Jim Gilchrist teams up with Jerome Corsi, the co-author of Unfit for Command - the book that derailed John Kerry's presidential campaign - to describe in vivid detail how the nation's southern border has disintegrated into a Wild West of human trafficking, drug smuggling, and violent gangs.

But the threat posed by out-of-control illegal immigration extends beyond the border states to the whole republic, warn Gilchrist and Corsi. Readers of this disturbing and timely book will learn how:

- Mexico encourages the mass emigration of millions of impoverished peasants, and why the Mexican government will stop at nothing to keep the border open;

- The Catholic Church uses its power and influence to subvert immigration laws, and why Church leaders are speaking out in favor of amnesty;

- American taxpayers are forced to pay the staggering economic and cultural price tag of illegal immigration, and why our government wants to keep the true costs hidden from the public.

With anti-American protestors taking to the streets to demand citizenship for all illegals, and with the President of the United States himself endorsing open borders, it has never been more critical for American citizens to understand the massive social, economic and security problems caused by illegal immigration. Minutemen: The Battle to Secure America's Borders describes those problems with a refreshing combination of facts and straight talk.

Like their Revolutionary War predecessors who defended America against a hostile foreign power, today's Minutemen have risen up to answer their nation's call against another invasion. Minutemen is their story, as well as an urgent call to arms to all of their countrymen.

    Minutemen Discourage Illegal Immigrants

    The United States Census Bureau estimates that roughly 10-12 million illegal immigrants live in the USA today. Some researchers, believing it is necessary to account for the government¿s inevitable under-sampling of the illegal immigrant population, believe that 20 million is a more realistic estimate. The vast majority of these immigrants are Hispanics who have entered the USA from Mexico. Illegal immigration is an increasingly volatile issue in American politics. Many people want to decriminalize illegal immigration. Others want current immigration laws to be enforced more effectively, even if that necessitates the deportation of several million people. Gilchrist & Corsi, who have an unambiguous right-wing bias, belong to this latter group. I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in American political and social documentary. Regardless of your stance vis-á-vis the authors¿ political agenda, the material in this book provides stimulating food for thought. Perhaps you will be swayed by Gilchrist & Corsi¿s arguments, or perhaps you won¿t. One thing I guarantee is that you will be challenged to think about them.

    SECURING OUR BORDERS

    'MINUTEMEN' IS A GREAT BOOK THAT I READ AND WAS VERY FASINATED BY ALL OF THE RESEARCH AND DOCUMENTATION THAT THE 2 WRITERS HAVE PUT INTO THIS MOST FASINATING PUBLICATION. I HAVE BEEN VERY CONCERNED FOR ALONG TIME ABOUT OUR BORDERS AND POSSIBLE CRIMINAL ACTIVITY THAT CAN HAPPEN IF NOT PROPERLY WATCHED SO IAM MOST INDEBT TO THESE MOST TALENTED WRITERS FOR ALL THIS VALUABLE INFORMATION THAT THEY HAVE SHARED WITH ME IN THIS GREAT BOOK. I FEEL I HAVE A BETTER PERSPECTIVE ON THE PROBLEMS FACING OUR BORDERS AND WHAT POSSIBLE STEPS CAN BE TAKEN TO MAKE THEM AND AMERICA MORE SECURE. IAM CONSIDERING GIVING 'MINUTEMEN' AS A GIFT TO SEVERAL OF MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY MEMBERS AS THERE BIRTHDAYS ARE RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER. THIS BOOK IS A REAL EDUCATION.
