Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
PreS-Gr 2-A young boy is sick and has doctor's orders to stay in bed all day. He thinks he is going to be bored, but as he looks out his window he discovers that there are lots of interesting things going on in his neighborhood. His friends visit and bring him toys, but he explains that he has been entertaining himself. This translation of the English title features a brief text that captures a child's voice to a tee. The simple watercolor artwork effectively conveys the boy's view and the changing scenes on the street below. An appealing picture book that encourages children to look at the world around them.-Alexandra Gomez, New York Public Library Copyright 1999 Cahners Business Information.
