This is a very short book. I liked it. Was a different kind of DS book. Not alot of characters. She keeps it short and simple. I enjoyed this book.

This whole book could have been abridged to a short story...way too prosy and wordy, plus an insultingly superficial treatment of adult illiteracy.

I am a Danielle Steele fan, but liked her other books better than this one. Still it was an enjoyable read.

It was painful. Over, and over about the dead wife, and the mistakes he made. Good thing I listened to it on an abridged tape. I never would have read the whole book.

I have almost every one of Danielle Steel's books. I love most of her books. This one was not a favorite. She seemed to repeat herself over and over again. Good book, but not great.

The characters were wonderful and would like to see a sequel..a true family who generally comes around in the end. Ms Steele always lets you become part of the family.

I had stopped reading Danielle Steel because most of the books were so similar. I tried this one and was pleasantly surprised. It's a quick read...finished it on a plane ride to Florida. It's light reading, a good beach book.

It is New Year’s Eve when the storm of the century hits northern California. In a quiet neighborhood in San Francisco, amid the chaos of fallen trees and damaged homes, the lives of three strangers are about to collide. For Quinn Thompson, what happens in the storm’s wake will bring down a barrier he has built around himself since his wife’s death. For neighbor Maggie Dartman, it will spark friendship at a time when she needs it most. And for Jack Adams, a carpenter who will repair Quinn’s and Maggie’ s homes, the storm brings an opportunity: to help two people and to be repaid with the greatest gift of all.As three lives come together and a unique ...
