    This is so incredible!

The book Miracle in the Making by Scott Brown and Sam Carchidi, is a miraculous story of the life of Adam Taliaferro and how he has become a legend to people everywhere. He was always a great student, incredible player, and very likeable person which made him a role model to many. When the time came that he needed to choose where he wanted to go to college and what he wanted do with his life, he had so many opportunities because of the great person that he was and his amazing football skills. His talents showed a very promising career in the NFL. Taliaferro was recruited by several schools, but in the end he chose Penn State. On September 23, 2000, was one of Penn States biggest games against Ohio State and he Adam faced an injury that could've tremendously changed his life forever. While making a tackle, he went in head first causing one of the worst injuries anyone could imagine, paralysis. Determined to prove the doctors wrong and show that he will be able to walk again, Taliaferro thought the impossible. I believe that the author wrote about Adam Taliaferro's life and his inspiring story as a message to all that we can achieve anything if we really set our minds to it. We are always taught that we can do anything we want, but most people take this for granted. They think that if they don't accomplish what they are trying to right away, that it's not going to happen, but if you really want something, you have to work really hard at it and put all of your effort into it if it's something that you strongly feel you want or need. No matter how big the challenge, you can overcome it and Taliaferro is living proof of this. Doctors said that he would never walk again, but he wasn't going to let that happen and ruin his life and career forever. Many of the obstacles that we come across in our lives are not as hard to tackle as Adam's was, but they are still set backs that effect peoples lives. We can't let these challenges take over our lives though, otherwise we will end up unsatisfied with the outcome. I really liked this book because it was such an amazing story and it really touched me because I had received knee injuries in the past that brought challenges with not being able to walk or dance for quite a while. My injury was nothing compared to that of Taliaferro's, but it was a major set back for me. I knew that if I wanted to be able to dance again, that I needed to work hard to strengthen my knee. I learned that the mind is incredibly powerful and what you believe will become your reality. I definitely recommend this book to anyone because we could all use a story like this to inspire us to achieve great things in our lives.

    This is a great book!

This book tells all the details from the life before the injury, and the view of the injury from everyone point of view. This is a very good book.

I couldn't put this book down!

I read a newspaper review of this book and the reviewer commented that this book deserves the highest compliment that he could possibly give... that he wished he had written this book himself. Not being a reviewer or author I can't make the same comment but I feel just as strongly. I thoroughly enjoyed this book from beginning to end. Carchidi and Brown evoke tears of sadness and joy from beginning to end. Adam Taliaferro's triumph continues to be a Miracle in the Making that everyone should take time to read about.

A book for the heart from the heart

Everyone connected with this story is brought to life with such warmth & humanness. Goes beyond a 'feel-good' book because it's true & truly inspiring.
