Miracles: The Holiday Albumby Kenny G
For those who prefer a jazzy Christmas or Chanukah, Kenny G may just offer the compact disc every collection needs. Miracles: The Holiday Album is a collection of songs that offers an alternative to the standard holiday fare. Kenny G's saxophone provides a pleasurable interpretation of many favorite holiday melodies, including "Winter Wonderland," "Silent Night," and "Silver Bells." However, it is "Miracles" that sets this collection of familiar songs apart from the traditional releases. Its melody tugs at the heart in an earnest desire to fulfill the true meaning of the holiday spirit -- love, peace, and goodwill to all. "The Chanukah Song" captures the essence of the significance of good health, happiness, and spiritual completion. Produced and arranged by Kenny G and Walter Afanasieff except for "White Christmas," which was arranged by Kenny G and Robert Damper, Miracles provides one with the harmony, comfort, and joy not readily felt at other times of the year. Although Miracles was released in 1994, it is still very much "the" holiday jazz album. It is not only a departure from Kenny G's sexy and soulful sax playing, but a tribute to the timeless melodies that everyone loves to hear during the holidays.

I love this C.D. because of Kenny G's awesome sax playing, and his great interpretations of famous holiday songs. This c.d. contains many great tunes like Greensleeves, Away in a Manger, and Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas. I would recommend this to anyone who loves Kenny G, soprano sax, and happy holiday music!
I have always been a Kenny G fan. This album is great. The master of the soprano sax. I love Christmas music as it is this make me love it even more ,if you can do that. Out standing.
I actually used this album for the backgroud music of my wedding reception that was in December. It was perfect for the occasion. Miracles gives you the warm sentimental feelings of Christmas..very elegant and well done! If you are not sure whether to buy this or not..Buy it...it is beautifil music...

I love this holiday album! It is so romantic and beautiful to listen to--compared to other Christmas junk that is out there today. I love his version of Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas. It's such a beautiful arrangement, and it just sends chills up my spine every hear it around the holidays. I also like his arrangements of Silver Bells and Greensleeves. This is a must-have for any holiday CD collection!
This is NOT jazz. KG is a total sell-out, and not a jazzman. I'm sorry, but you all really need to check into the greats. Not fakes.
