Miriam Wolfe was beautiful, gifted, vivacious and eloquent. She was most certainly on her way to a phenomenal career but her life tragically ended at age 20. On December 21, 1988, Miriam, along with thirty other students from Syracuse University, was on Pan Am Flight 103 headed home from London. Flight 103 was bombed by Libyan terrorists and it exploded 31,000 feet up in the air over Lockerbie, Scotland. All on board died. Miriam's mother, herself a gifted writer, moved through her grief and wrote "Miriam's Gift", a loving tribute to her talented only child, in 1999. Now, "Miriam's World-and Mine" is mother Rosemary Mild's updated version of the original "Miriam's Gift". Since its publication in 1999, incredible events have occurred: the World Trade Center tragedy and the release of Megrahi, the mastermind of the Pan Am 103 bombing, to his family. Rosemary Mild writes of these updates, tells of the relatives of Lockerbie bombing victims establishing memorials to their lost ones, and includes Miriam's writings and a transcript of a poignant conversation she had with her grandfather, Rosemary's father.

It will not bring the readers to their knees but encourages them to move on, no matter what happens in life. The entire book is well-organized so that the reader may read a passage, pause, think about it and move on to the next. This book is a must read for all, even those who think their life has been calm and wholly perfect.
