Reviewed by Kira M for Teens Read Too

When Zoe and Mia visit a carnival, they have their fortunes told by a fortune teller named Serafina. Mia's fortune is upbeat and promises a new journey. Zoe's, however, says that she will make a bad decision. Without realizing it, both girls end up with necklaces around their necks that are supposed to seal their fortune. Neither girl thinks anything of it until creepy things begin to happen to Zoe. Her house catches fire, her bike spins out of control, and she starts receiving threatening emails and texts saying that her luck has run out. Can Zoe break her fortune before it's too late? Who is sending the threatening messages? This paranormal adventure is filled with mystery, friendship, and suspense. The characters are entertaining and well-developed. The plot is intense and moves fairly quickly. Those who like paranormal fiction and adventure will enjoy reading MISS FORTUNE.

Stupid. The most corny books ive ever read. Ive noticed it has around the same plot as "my evil twin" both their lives are being ruined in similar ways, like making their crushes hate them. I expected a turn of events sometime, instead i predicted their every move.

    5 STARS!

This book was an awesome one, I think it one of the best books in the series. Ok anyways let me get this straight. It's about a girl named zoe, first going to a carnival with her best friend, mia. When it almost closes, a strange lady offers to tell their fortunes for free. Their dad is gonna pick them up, but hasn't arrived yet. They enter the tent. Zoe keeps on poking around and having fun,so she doesn't get a good fortune. She is told she is going to have bad luck. Mia is told she will forfill her dreams. Mia gets a coin to finish her destiny, and zoe gets a weird snake necklace. There's a strange force telling her not to take the necklace off...... and there always seems to be a crow stalking her......and weird things happening..... Will zoe break the curse before it's too late?

    I Also Recommend:

    Good book....but

It was a really interesting book. I couldn't put it down. The down side was,I read at night most of the time,so the book kind of scared me and gave me chills during the day after I read a chapter or two. It's a really good book though. I would say read it in the day with another person in the room or with the telivision on. I'm not saying it is a bad book,it really is a good book,it probably won't scare you if you are used to books like that. I'm just not used to books like like,so don't turn it down.

Miss Fortune                        Do you like creepy stories?

     Miss Fortune

Do you like creepy stories? If you do I think you would like the book Miss Fortune by Brandi Dougherty. The book is about two girls named Mia and Zoe. They go to the carnival with their friends, after a few rides Noah asks Zoe to go on the Ferris wheel with him. After a while the friends leave. Zoe and Mia are on their way to Zoe’s dad’s truck when a fortune teller named Sarafina offered to read their fortunes. Zoe thought that it would be fun so they did it. Sarafina got mad at Zoe for making jokes about fortune telling. So when it was Zoe’s turn Sarafina gave Zoe a necklace to seal her fortune, however Sarafina placed the Snake eye curse on Zoe with the necklace. Zoe soon realizes she is cursed because unexplainable things happen, the curse also makes her not want to take the necklace off. For example the oven catches on fire when it is not even on, and she almost gets hit by a truck because of the curse! Mia and Zoe even try to bury the necklace, however the next morning it appears on her bed! Find out if they can break the curse or if Zoe is stuck with it forever! So if you like creepy stories I recommend Miss Fortune by Brandi Dougherty.
