Overview

Welcome to Nocturne Falls, the town that celebrates Halloween 365 days a year.

Jayne Frost is a lot of things. Winter elf, Jack Frost's daughter, Santa Claus's niece, heir to the Winter Throne and now...private investigator. Sort of.

When the Sandman comes to Santa's Workshop, the shop Jayne manages, to do his first ever book signing, it's a major event. He's kind of a supernatural celebrity and she needs to keep him happy.

All is well until trouble shows up at the party thrown in his honor. Trouble in the form of Luna Nyx, the Mistress of Nightmares and his creepy counterpart. The Sandman's assistant says Luna is dangerous, and Jayne believes it when her dreams turn dark.

Can Jayne keep the Sandman safe from this gothic goddess? Or will Luna's threats put them both to sleep for good?

Another good story that continues from the first 2 books. I enjoyed the further "rounding out" of the characters in town. Unfortunately, although the main story completes it defiantly ends with a set up for the next book

Another great Miss Frost book. I love the Miss Frost and Nocturnal Falls books. They never disappoint and are full of fun, love, mystery, wit, and paranatural goodness. I am so looking forward to the next book.

I love ALL the Nocturne Falls books and am enjoying the Miss Frost series of stories set in this wonderfully diverse town created for supernaturals. The Miss Frost books bring back older favorite characters from the original series. The stories are fast easy afternoon reads. And the characters are delightful with just enough danger to add spice to the stories. I can't wait for the 4th Miss Frost book to come out. If just beginning, I would encourage you to start with the original Nocturne Falls books and then move on to Miss Jayne Frost, the Winter Princess and the mysteries she solves. Again, a. truely delightful series and Fun reads.

This series just keeps getting better. I know I say it every time, but this one is my favorite now. Lol. The suspense throughout was so great all the way. The ending is shocking. Kristen is such a genius with how she does the characters. I would've never seen Sandman like she put it. It makes all the sense in the world how he does his job, and the explanation about Santa working is so wonderful also. If you like cozy mysteries, you would love this. Even if you're not a paranormal or supernatural fan. These characters are so real in my head. I keep wondering what they are doing now. One word of advice though, make sure you've eaten if you're going to read this at bedtime. The food and desserts in the book will make your mouth water. I've had to get up at 3am several times with this series. Lol. These don't have to be read in any order. They are set in the town of Nocturne Falls, Kristen's other series but can be read in any order. A lot of the same characters are in both series. However, you get a whole lot more background on the main town characters and get to know them better in the Nocturne Falls series. These are some of the best books I've ever read! Oh, and they are so clean. Very safe for teenagers and young people to read. Would make a wonderful gift for Christmas, especially since Jayne Frost is Jack Frost's daughter and this has a Christmas theme.

The third book in the Jayne Frost mystery series does not disappoint. The Sandman has come to Nocturne Falls to promote his new book, guaranteed to put a child to sleep within a few moments of reading, with signings at the Christmas store Jayne manages. With him is his uptight assistant, another elf from the North Pole. After a record day of sales, a party at the Ellingham estate sounds like the perfect way to unwind, until the Sandman’s ex-wife, the Mistress of Nightmares, shows up. After that, things start getting interesting. The town is going without sleep, Jayne is having serious nightmares, and the Sandman disappears, along with his assistant and his ex-wife. The efforts Jayne goes through to find them make everything that came before seem normal (if an imp is normal). Of course, there’s also the threat of Jack Frost coming to town to investigate to spur everybody on to find the missing. All in all, an enjoyable read. I look forward to more Jayne Frost and Nocturne Falls books from Kristen Painter in the foreseeable future.

This is a great book; this is the third book in the Jayne Frost series written by Kristen Painter. Jayne Frost lives in Nocturne Falls, the town celebrates Halloween 365 days a year. Jayne is a winter elf, Jack Frost’s daughter and Santa Claus’s niece. The sandman has written a book that is guaranteed to put a child to sleep when reading it. He is doing his first book signing at Jayne’s store. Everything is going well until the Sandman’s ex Luna Nyx, the Mistress of Nightmares shows us. Now Jayne needs to keep an eye on Luna and anyone else who may threatening. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author.
