Overview

Popular author Ann B. Ross' fan base grows with the publication of each novel in her Miss Julia series, which has cracked the New York Times extended best-seller list. In this episode, the graceful Southern lady's impeccable manners are pushed to the brink. When she learned her philandering (and late) husband left behind a lover and illegitimate son, Miss Julia could have gotten nasty. Instead, she kept her cool, adding Hazel Marie and Little Lloyd to her makeshift family. But now rumors are surfacing that call Little Lloyd's patrilineage into question. Has Miss Julia been duped? The only way to know for sure might be to exhume Wesley Lloyd Springer's body for a DNA test. Fresh, funny, and full of Southern charm, Miss Julia Stands Her Ground is as appealing as a cold glass of lemonade and an empty rocking chair in the shade.

Miss Julia and Sam must prove Little Lloyd paternity. A look back makes Miss Julia realize just how much she loves the boy regardless of Wesley Lloyd's unfaithfulness. A heartfelt, moving story line of family no matter how they are made up. Read, you just may enjoy.

Love-Love-Love this rollicking story of another of Miss Julia's escapades. This southern lady of "a certain age" knows how to live life and deal with its ups and downs - with a little help from her friends. I hope I have Miss Julia's spunk when I'm her age!

A great light read. The charactors are so believable and caring. I laughed and cried with Miss Julia and her family.

I've read and enjoyed the previous books in the series but this one was disappointing. A large part of the book is taken up with a flashback that only served to take up pages instead of to advance the plot.
