She is the author of eighty novels and short-story collections, nineteen plays, and six novels under the name Mary Westmacott. She died in 1976.

Agatha Christie is the world's best-known mystery writer. Her books have sold over a billion copies in the English language, and another billion in 44 foreign languages. She is the most widely published author of all time in any language, outsold only by the Bible and Shakespeare. Her writing career spanned more than half a century, during which she wrote 79 novels and a short story collection, as well as 14 plays, one of which, The Mousetrap, is the longest running play in history. Two of the characters she created, the brilliant Belgian detective Hercule Poirot and the irrepressible and relentless Miss Marple, went on to become world famous detectives. Both have been widely dramatized in feature films and made-for-TV movies. Agatha Christie died in 1976.

    It's Agatha Christie! and Ms Marple!

    What more can i say?? no matter how many times i read any of Ms Christie's stories - i am amazed and entertained. this is a nice collection of her short stories about ms marple. nice, because you can read one treasure at a time.

    Miss Marple never lets us down!

    This collection of mysteries solved by Miss Marple offers great variety and interesting settings. The characters are quirky and fun to read about. Miss Marple is able to solve the mysteries presented to her without even being at the scene! A great collection for Christie fans.

    Poirot, Smchorot!! Miss Marple Tops the List!!!

    Many people may consider the famed Belgian, Christie created, Hercule Poirot to be the greatest of all sleuths!! But Oh No!!! Miss Jane Marple from the quiet and quaint little town of St. Mary Mead, is most assuredly the greatest! Outside she appears to be a timid and meek old woman BUT INSIDE, her mind is sharp enough to cut a side of beef!! This book (and all other Christie/Marple books too!) is fantastic!!! And recommended to all!!
