Miss Nelson give too much homework, roo much of everything, expects too much, and the reader hears the grumblings that all children give about their teacher. So, Miss Nelson, who is ever-so-smart, does a disiappearing act, and in her place comes The Wicked Witch, a substiitute who is demanding and grumpy. Oh, how everyone wishes Miss Nelson would return, and therein lies the conflict resolution. A great book for first through third graders. I read to second graders once a week in a school reading program, and the students love this book. It's great for opening up discussions. I think it's a five star book!!

This is a classic story that I remember from my childhood. Today, twenty years later, my 2nd grade son also loved the story. A must read for the 1st/ 2nd grader!!!

Years ago, I bought this book for the child of a friend. Everyone in the family loved it and still remembers it, as I do. Now I bought it for another child. It's still a great, funny, enjoyable book.

I remember loving this book as a child, and my almost 3 year old son loves it now. It's such a clever delight and also suggests a good lesson about the consequences of misbehavior.

Miss Nelson is Missing by Harry Allard is a great book. In room 29 kids were being bad and went listing to the teacher and went behaving then the next day Miss Nelson was gone. All of unsung an ugly woman came through the door and the kids were worried about Miss Nelson and the rest you have to read. My favorite part was the ending. But if you want to find out my favorite part of the storey you have to read the book to find my favorite part.

This book is exciting and keeps the reader thinking. It gives good clues both in the pictures and in the text. I would recommend reading this book to any class at the beginning of the year.

This is an excellent book and it holds my four-year-old's interest like no other. He is just learning to read and can recognize lots of words just from reading along in the book with me. He asks for this book for his bedtime book every night. He changes his voice for the different characters and laughs out loud each time. Keeps his attention throughout. Highly recommended!

Hi, I had, read and loved this book as a young person. I think that it is the best children's book ever because it is very good, short and understanding. However, I think it can be used from age 4 until 8 because it is something that is short to read if it is used for an older child and if it is used or a four year old who has a very short attention span. i think that every child and every home should have a copy of this exceptional book.
