This Metzger romance uses a household of odd aristocrats as the stage for an up and down romance between a daughter of the house (alternately adotable and mutton-headed) and a Corinthian who believes himself committed to the missing daughter of a duke. The lady of the house is a 'medium', who helps her fellows find misplaced people and valuables, and there's a good deal of fun interpreting instructions from the beyond. Moves a bit more slowly, with fewer changes of scene than other Metzgers, and you can see the end coming almost from the outset, but still fun.Was this review helpful?
