    Book Report

The Missing Chums by Franklin w. Dixon. Grosset and Dunlap are the publishers. It was published in New York. I really enjoyed reading this substantial book. Joe Hardy is the youngest boy. His brother is Frank hardy. Mr. Fenton Hardy is there father. Aunt Gertrude is there father¿s sister and Mrs. Hardy is there mother. There¿s also Chief Collig. Mr. French is the costume shop keeper. Alf was there friend from the slums. Chet and Biff are there friends that are there age. The story takes place mostly in the slums. The slums are run down areas. There very poor areas with shakes that people live in because they can not afford a house of there own. The slums are in very terrible conditions. There dirty and rat infested. The slums are similar to the projects, or the ghettos. The Hardy boys came up with a plot to get out of a very serious situation they were in. The kidnappers made there father Fenton Hardy choose between his boys or his career. The writing style is ok, I didn¿t like or dislike the writing of the book. The voice of the author is telling the story but leave you wanting more at the end of the chapter to find out what happens to the hardy boys. I really enjoyed reading this substantial book. It really left me wanting more at the end of the chapter. Its one of the best mystery books I have ever read. I encourage young reader the next generation to read this book to get away from all the pressures of life. To find out what the decision was that Mr. Hardy made your going to have to read the book yourself.

My 10 yr old son loved it.

After my son figured out what the word 'chum' meant he really liked it. I guess that does date the book a little. Great for kids who like mystery.
