Overview

“Since the creation of the wheel, mankind has tried to find ways to move faster, and then faster. Thousands of years later, mankind has not changed. The “Need for Speed” has become the mantra of motion in our technological world – from the chariot to automobiles to trains and planes, then finally to spacecraft. We love to go fast! This is most prevalent in the sporting arenas. Whether it is the foot races of track and field in the Olympics, World Class Grand Prix, or even the most watched televised sporting event in America, the Daytona 500 – The Granddaddy of NASCAR racing, we still want more! And more we shall have!”
Thus begins the first book of Mission Racers – WXGP: Genesis from author G. Eric Davis, a story inspired and fueled by his own experiences and passions from living in Central Florida and working at the Kennedy Space Center. This story follows a newcomer with great promise to the NASCAR circuit who recently left an engineering job during the decline of the Manned Space Flight Program at NASA, Cooper Sparx. Cooper, who has overcome many obstacles in his life, including the loss of his parents at an early age and growing up in the state’s system of child welfare, has followed his dreams with the determination of never failing against all odds. His success is only rivaled by his heart for children in need where he and his team dedicates quite a bit of their free time and resources helping their local chapter of the Children Are Our Future, Inc., an organization dedicated to aiding the less fortunate children around the globe.
The action begins in the biggest race of his infantile career – The Daytona 500. But there is more, much more as we shall see with the inauguration of the World Extreme Grand Prix, a combination of NASCAR, Formula 1 and stunt racing. This is the first book of a planned 52 book series that will take the reader racing around the world and back again, filled with action, adventure and missionary service that the readers will be sure to enjoy again and again!
