Overview

Ruined! She knows she is ruined, but for Augusta Winslow, worrying about the ton and the Season are the least of her concerns, especially when there is a mystery to be solved. A priceless Rubens has been stolen from the Academy of Arts and this auburn haired lady with a personality as fiery as her mane is determined to be the sleuth that solves the crime. She is unprepared to meet Lyon Renton, the Earl of Ashington, with his piercing gray eyes, crisp black hair, and raw masculinity. At odds from the very beginning, when a mysterious stranger mistakenly hands Augusta a note, she and Lyon become reluctant partners in search of the note’s author.

A connection seems to exist between society and the theft, and this forces Lyon to do the one thing he loathes most – attend the Season’s social gatherings. Lyon insists Augusta accompany him and they soon find themselves thrown even deeper into the thick of it as one event leads to another. When circumstances force the two to become husband and wife, much to Lyon’s frustration, not even their passionate relationship can stop his determined wife from solving this mystery!
