Meet the Author

Joey W. Hill writes about vampires, mermaids, boardroom executives, cops, witches, angels, simple housemaids... She's penned over forty acclaimed titles and six award-winning series, and been awarded the RT Book Reviews Career Achievement Award for Erotica. But she's especially proud and humbled to have won the support and enthusiasm of a wonderful, widely diverse readership.
So why erotic romance? “Writing great erotic romance is all about exploring the true face of who we are – the best and worst - which typically comes out in the most vulnerable moments of sexual intimacy.” She has earned a reputation for writing BDSM romance that not only wins her fans of that genre, but readers who would “never” read BDSM romance. She believes that's because strong, compelling characters are the most important part of her books.
“Whatever genre you’re writing, if the characters are captivating and sympathetic, the readers are going to want to see what happens to them. That was the defining element of the romances I loved most and which shaped my own writing. Bringing characters together who have numerous emotional obstacles standing in their way, watching them reach a soul-deep understanding of one another through the expression of their darkest sexual needs, and then growing from that understanding into love - that's the kind of story I love to write."
Take the plunge with her, and don't hesitate to let her know what you think of her work, good or bad. She thrives on feedback!?

This was my least favorite of all of Joey W Hill's books. Not that it wasn't a very good book just not my cup of tea. I didn't like Johnathan in Natural Law. He's a no good weasel that got what he deserved. This story was full of fantasy and mind games. I don't think there will ever be any redeeming qualities now or ever for Johnathan.

I WASN 'T SURE WHAT TO EXPECT BUT I WAS HAPPILY SURPRIZED BY THE PLOT. NOT TO GIVE TOO MUCH AWAY ( SPOILER ALERTS ) IT REALLY INVOLVES REDEMPTION. THERE'S AT LEAST 1 MAJOR "GROSS OUT" SCENE & SEVERAL BDSM SCENES -- NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED. AND IT HAS JOEY'S UNUSUAL TAKE ON THE AFTERLIFE. ALL IN ALL A GOOD READ.

Edgy, but oh so good.. Joey is an automatic read for me, but there is a reason for that. No one can delve so deep into a character quite like her. This book is no exception. To really know Jonathan aka Nathan's past, you can read Natural Law, an earlier book in this series but it is not necessary to do so. It's hard to write this review without giving too many spoilers. This book will make you think about life and death, and the decisions we make along the way in a new light. It is a bit edgy, but have faith in knowing that every journey is taken for a reason and there is that proverbial light at the end of the tunnel ( wherever it may lead ). I am so glad I read this book, it gives a remarkable glimpse into the psyche of both Dona and Jonathan.

I simply love this series. However, this was my least favorite. It was good and a nice wrap to the character but it didn't suck me in like the rest of the series.

I love most of this author's books but this one was not my favorite. Way too extreme and really uncomfortable to read at points.

Definitely my least favorite of the series. I've read all the others with the exception of the seventh, which I plan on starting tonight.

Actually having trouble getting through this book. Definately not a page turner like the previous books in this series. More from a fantasy point of view thus far, and that's not my thing.
