Like the saying goes, ¿Never judge a book by its cover.¿ Or publisher that is when I first got this book, the first thing I thought was woohoo, another shoot `em up bang bang novel. I found ¿Mistress of the Game¿ to be an excellent book, even though it had a few typos and grammatical errors. The friendship between Elsie, Aparis, and LaKiesha demonstrate maturity, loyalty, and courage at a young age they consider themselves 'Three the hard way.' Sherrie Walker did a great job with ¿Mistress of the Game¿ as her debut novel it was definitely a page-turner. The storyline was unpredictable and the characters were captivating. I give this a 4.5 and can see that this author is heading in the right direction with her pen game.

Mistress of the Game is the debut and very captivating novel from Sherrie Walker. Elise, Aparis and LaKiesha are three girls who are bonded by St. Henry¿s Orphanage and a troubled past due to violence and mayhem. All of the girls brought something powerful to the table which allowed them to create an empire from the ground up; a drug empire. Que, Lakiesha¿s brother and Elise¿s lover helped them in every which way possible but when his life forcefully came to a halt it was up to the girls to continue their own success. Elise took control of the group and they moved forward from there. But like all wise leaders, they know all good things must come to an end. Unfortunately the ladies didn¿t predict good things coming to an end so soon.

This novel proved that Ms. Walker is here to stay. ¿Mistress of the Game¿ is beautifully written from start to finish, which would allow for the easy read. The book has many twists and turns that will leave you guessing. I believe it will satisfy every reader needs and wants in a novel...real live characters, intense plot, and with so much detail you will actually think you¿re taking a ride with the characters.

There was never a dull moment in this novel, you don¿t believe me!? Then see for yourself! The book is very descriptive and strategically written to play out as a movie. I have read plenty of novels and manuscripts but I would have to say this is by far in my top five. My staff and I are really looking forward to what the future holds for Ms. Sherrie Walker.
I support this author and this novel to the fullest. Highly recommended.

I purchased this book thinking this was going to be a great read and I was very dissappointed that I looked at all the reviews and they gave this author 4-5 stars . They should have rated this book 2 stars this was not that great of a book. I thought it would really be book that I could not put down , yet it took all I could to try to finish this book! Don't believe the 4-5 Ratings .. I love to read this book was very Disappointing!!

This was a good book from start to finish. The book was action filled with lots of twists and turns. It reminds people that it is easy to get into the drug game and hard to get out.

I didn't expect this title to be as good as it was. Three girls become orphans at a young age and meet each other through fate. Their friendship takes them through highs, lows, and twists that you won't see coming. I can't wait to see what Ms. Walker has next for us.
