From the first word, I fell in love with this book .  The characters in this book are great and so lovable.  You get sucked in from the very beginning.  Great start to a new series that leaves you begging for more.  This book was very well written.  I did not want the story to end.  I can not wait until the next two books are available.  Ruth Ann is a great writer and you will not be disappointed with this book.

    Enjoyed this book

This book was well written. Two people, meeting in less than ideal circumstances and embarking upon a marriage of convenience, try to make the best of their circumstances. In addition to the normal adaptations that occur when two people marry, this couple, has the added difficulty of being virtual strangers. It was interesting to see how the couple dealt with siblings coping with addictions. I applaud the author for her use of "tough love" in dealing with the siblings, when so many people want to enable those struggling individuals.

There were more sex scenes than I prefer to read, however, they were not unexpected as the author had previously stated that she will include sex scenes in her novels. I do appreciate the fact that the scenes were done tastefully, and all within the sanctity of marriage.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and recommend it to others that enjoy the western "marriage of convenience" genre.

This is a western romance. It's a pretty good story. A bit graphic in spots, but OK. I would like to know what happens next. 18+ JS.

    Good Story...............................................

Had to like the way people related to one another. In so many stories there is one misunderstanding after another because the characters can't seem to have a conversation with one another. In this book if something bothers them they say it. If something makes them happy they say it. What a great idea. Also the heroine doesn't waste any time crying over a brother she barely knew who turns out to be a bum. She tells him to get lost and means it. Who wouldn't? He tried to use her as a poker chip for heavens sake. That's not a spoiler it was in the sample. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

Mitch’s Win by Ruth Ann Nordin
    Montana Romance Series Book 1
Heather Curtiss was rather sheltered. She took care of her parents until both of them passed and then met a brother who had left home before she ever knew him. Now she wishes Abe never came home. Circumstances changed from Heather being sent out East to an aunt to suddenly get thrown into a kitty so her brother could continue to gamble!

Mitch Grady was not going to continue to bail his brother, Boaz, out. For two years now Boaz had been drinking and gambling, not taking responsibility for his life. Including his two children who were in Mitch's care until Boaz cleaned up his act. Mitch was done, no matter how much his mother pleaded with him. Who knew that this one last bail-out would end so well for Mitch.

The beginning of another good series from Ruth Ann Nordin. Mitch was at the right place and the right time to rescue Heather. And in the end, she rescued him. Once again these characters come to life and latch on to the readers heartstrings. Boaz is so lost after his wife dies and gets caught up a lifestyle he can't escape. Looking forward to Boaz’s Wager and Patty’s Gamble. You meet both of these characters in Mitch’s Win.
    **Sexual content within marriage
    **Historical Western Romance Rated R
