Mixed Up

( 3 )

Editorial Reviews

All Music Guide - Stephen Thomas Erlewine
An assortment of remixes, re-recordings, old singles, and one new song "Never Enough". Most of the remixes are quite radical, leaving only the bare bones of the original song. There are enough oddities and rare tracks on Mixed Up to make it necessary for Cure fans, but it's too specialized for casual listeners.

    Out of control!

Robert goes crazy on this cd. Where else can you hear an 8 minute version of Fascination Street that rocks this hard?? Mr. Smith is a musical genius and we all know this. This is just a chance for him to let it all go- he let his hair get Mixed Up long before this album landed. Just sit back and let the bbbbeats soothe your soul my friend.

To be generous... I give this ablum three stars

Rmixed songs aren't my cup of tee... but the first song "Lullaby" was good and that was pretty much it.

    Love, Love, Love

From the beginning of the Cure's career there has typically been only one rule...a listener either loves or hates the Cure. When this compilation of remixed hits came out all the rules changed. Not only did every kid on the block have a copy but the Cure was being played in dance clubs at least once a night. Just as haunting as Disintergration, Mixed Up added a new twist and showed Cure fans that Robert Smith has many facets to his musical abilities. Often times found on the top one hundred lists of albums to own, this mixture of pop ditties and dark fantasies is a must have. It will relax you as well as spark your imagination.
