Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Joan Carris
As with the TV series for kids, this pseudo-classic and part-time contemporary tale stars the lovable and witty terrier, Wishbone, who here imagines himself to be Ishmael the sailor aboard Melville's classic ship, the Pequod. Unfortunately what works so well on the screen seems awkward and downright hokey in a book. Dog thoughts mix uneasily with quasi-Melville thoughts from the stirring original, Moby Dick. However, childsize fans of Wishbone may read this happily, and if so, just tiptoe away. Part of the "Adventures of Wishbone" series. 1999 (orig.

    One of my Favorite Books

I am almost a teenager, but I still love Wishbone, one of my favorites is Moby Dog. Moby Dog is an exiting tale about a young sailor that wanted to live his life on the ocean, then he meets a cannibal but he doesn't eat him. Hahahaha!!! That would have been gross. Then they both set off for a whaling thing and they had this crazy captain that wanted to find the whale that tore off his leg,MOBY DICK. And if you want to find out if they found him read the book it is a really good one.
