    Complete, enlightening but difficult to follow in spots

    Fairly complete, enlightening, much wonderful artwork but the writing is sometimes extremely hard to follow and, in a few spots, is unintelligible. I know it's difficult to encompass so many movements and artists in a single volume, but I find the organizational scheme here confusing. I love art but do not look forward to reading assignments from this book, which is the main text for my Modern Art history course.
