Overview

Here is a remarkable collection of surprisingly workable spells. It offers a unique group of spells, charms, amulets, talismans, and divination techniques ... and even a section telling where one can obtain such ingredients (infrequently at hand in most households) as assafoetida (an herb), or bottled bat's blood. Many of the materials required for working spells are easily found in cupboards. This is a "how-to" book and describes with considerable care just what is involved in working these enchantments. The many sections concerning love magic for women include supernatural ways to get him, get rid of him, get even with him, keep him, test his fidelity, and much more. And if you're planning a seduction scene and need to conjure up some assistance, the section of aphrodisiacs will show you how to turn him on or off, as the situation demands. For men, there is a chapter on male magic, giving the ardent lover tips on guaranteeing a successful courtship and a responsive bride. For those already victims of someone else's spell, there is advice on breaking the charm and avoiding the evil eye.

This book isn't about wicca. The author makes it seem like wicca isnt a relgion its a way to get what u want, which isnt true. The author also didnt say anything about the law of three. which u should know about if ur going to do any spells.

It's called 'The Modern Witch's Spellbook,' not 'The Modern Wiccan's Spellbook.' There are plenty of those books available, and this one doesn't claim to be a book on ethics as practiced by Wiccans. Morrison presents a collection of spells that will work if done correctly and leaves it up to readers to decide the ethics for themselves, because not only Wiccans practice magick.

Most people think Witchcraft is Wicca, when real Witchcraft is universal. A good collection of non-religious practical spells. Some of the ingredients are a little far-fetched though. Spells are quite effective, not recomended for a beginner.

This is not a book on Wicca, first of all, though some other reviews claim it is. Wicca is a religion, not just a bunch of ethically questionable 'spells.' You're far better off with a book that dicusses the Crede and the Rule of Three. I would honestly worry about the harm you may bring to yourself doing some of these spells!

Both books one and two seem to neglect the rule 'harm none.' Love spells, spells to make others act as you would prefer....not a good thing. Take it from a true witch, the rule of three needs to be followed or you will find yourself WAY in over your head!! The fact that some of these spells work speaks more for the person doing the spell than for the spell itself, these just aren't good spells!

This was the best spell book I have ever read. It had all the information I needed to answer all my questions. I have read many others but this was the best. I truly enjoyed this book. The others had half of what this did. This quickly became my favorite of all ten of my spells books.

and then I read this book! Oh, how I read and re-read, and scrounged up the pennies to buy the second book. This is one of the best beginners guides on the market. But, a note to the novices - nothing is written in stone. Buy more than one book - compare notes.

This is the first book of spells I ever received from a friend. It is well written and very easy to learn from. I was about 15 when I received this book and still use it today along with many others. If witchcraft is of an interest to you I highly reccomend this book.
