Award winning author Keith Clemons has created another masterful work in his novel "Mohamed's Moon." Non stop suspense, fast moving action, a complex plot, phenomenal descriptions, and powerful character development combine to keep the reader mesmerized. Keith delivers a thought provoking message in which culture, religion, and a lust for power challenge logic. The story revolves around two brothers separated at birth. One becomes a devoted fundamentalist follower of Islam, the other a committed Christian. Through a unique set of circumstances they both fall in love with the same girl. Riveting action take the reader from the culture and geography of the Egyptian dessert and the bondage of Islam to California where there is opportunity for the freedom of choice and the liberty found in Christ. Clemmons' descriptions are awesome. I could almost feel the shimmering sun on the sand blurring my eyes as the sea of sand spraying a limestone abrasion burned my skin. The plot is convincing with unexpected twists which keep the reader in suspense as conflict builds, demanding resolution. Clemmons' writing is thought provoking, insightful, and moving. It is easy to identify and empathize with his characters. He touches the heart and emotions with poignancy as his real life characters make choices that will impact the world today, and their eternal destiny. "Mohamed's Moon" communicates a message of love, sacrifice, and redemption. Clemmons' writing is sensitive establishing his authenticity as a person and his gifted ability as a story teller. What a good book! It is a total step apart from much of what I've been reading lately, but it is great. Identical twin brothers separated at birth, 1 raised in America as a Christian and 1 raised in Egypt as a Muslim. A plot to assassinate the president, take over the presidential office, mass murder and a lovely young lady caught in the middle of two brothers. I really appreciated the way the author shows the differences and similarities between Islam and Christianity as the brothers agree to read each others books (the Bible and Quaran) in an attempt to understand each other and appease the love of their lives, Layla. There may be a lot of coincidences in the storyline, but I just settled back and accepted them. In doing so I was really able to enjoy the book. I also really liked the fact that everything isn't tied up with a pretty little bow when it is all finished - bittersweet and beautiful. Excellent book.

Remarkable work of fiction with lots of surprises. I'm amazed at how much I learned just reading this unique and refreshing story. Very readable and drawing. I found myself taking it with me in case I got a chance to read.

Be Prepared! You'll be swept from the sands of Egypt to the California coast, then through the lives of the desperately poor as they intertwine with those of the outrageously wealthy, and to those who know nothing but Islam, into the hearts of those who know the Christ as personal Saviour. Mohamed's Moon tells the story of twin boys, separated at birth and raised in completely different cultures. And they fall in love with the same girl! Will love or hate win out? Does faith always triumph? Does God's grace really extend to everyone? Will the best man really win? Conflict flies in your face at the turn of every page. I'm not going to tell you how it ends. You'll want to read it yourself. Great book.
