Dr. Charney, the editor, points out that future editions of the DSM must take into account the advances in understanding of the pathophysiology of major neuropsychiatric conditions. 21st century psychiatrists must have knowledge of these advances. The editor and authors have produced an accessible and readable book.
Audience: The intended audience is practicing psychiatrists and psychologists, but it would also be useful for trainees in psychiatry and neurology.
